Jake Chapman - I spent a significant part of the first six months of 2008 taking pictures of the Chapman's new version of Hell. This was my first visit and Jake wanted to look at how a cheesy landscape might look behind it.
The finished work (without painted landscape) was show at White Cube in June. The book of Hell, brilliantly designed by Fuel, has many of images I shot and shows what a privilaged viewing I had of the work, some of the images are no longer visible in the final piece having been obscured by buildings, roofs etc. The Chapmans work itself is a staggering achievment.
