HORSES 1996
I’d been asked to be part of a community art initiative in Islington to place art in shop windows. I’d been reading Stephen J Gould’s “Life’s Grandeur” at the time and decided to photograph horses in the borough. A nod to the idea that horses as a species are very poor adapters to environmental change and would probably not still be around if man had not found them so useful.
